Silverwoods partnership benefiting club and players
Despite a challenging 2020 season the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club (YFNC) have continued to benefit from their partnership support from Lotus Living’s Silverwoods Golf and Lifestyle Resort development.
The club’s dual best and fairest Harry Wheeler is one of over 40 people from the club to have purchased a block of land at Silverwoods as part of a referral programme which gives back $500 to the club for every sale.
“I moved to town four years ago to play football with the Yarrawonga Pigeons and through the club was able to find employment as an electrician with Marcus McMillan (Murray River Electrical),” Harry said.
“With the help of Kennedy Builders, in particular Chris Kennedy, I grabbed hold of a block at Silverwoods.”
Harry explained that whilst at the time it was a big decision, the partnership between Kennedy Builder’s and Silverwoods has meant it has been a great decision. “Not only is this a great place to live, but also as an investment it has just been outstanding.
“A number of us from the Pigeons have also bought and built here and the community feel is going to be awesome, it already is!”
For Kennedy Builder’s director Chris Kennedy and club committee person it has also been a very successful relationship between the YFNC, Silverwoods and the local building company.
“As a club and a business, we are passionate about giving the right advice and guidance to our supporters, members and players when it comes to building their first home or investing in Yarrawonga,” Chris said.
“We are pleased to see so many have taken up the opportunity and purchased at Silverwoods over the years, with great results.
“Kennedy Builders would like to thank President Ross Mulquiney and the committee of the YFNC for their support and to the Lotus Living group for providing a quality development such as Silverwoods to our region.”
YFNC President Ross Mulquiney said the Pigeon’s partnership with Lotus Living and their Silverwoods Golf and Lifestyle Development has been a long-lasting and valued partnership.
“Not only because of the support provided to the club, but also because the development itself has provided a place our players and supporters want to live,” Ross said.
“Further, with the combination of one of our most loyal partners, Kennedy Builders, Chris Kennedy has overseen more than forty Pigeons flock to the newest stages of Silverwoods.
“With his guidance many have utilised the numerous benefits available to new builds in the current market.
“Being able to engage with players and supporters to direct them toward our most valued partners, knowing the wonderful outcome they will achieve, has been a wonderful result for all involved.”
Lotus Living (Developer of Silverwoods Golf and Lifestyle Resort), General Manager, Daniel Smith said the company was very proud of the partnership with the YFNC.
“Now that things are getting back to normal, we are so very proud to continue our partnership supporting the club and the wider community,” Daniel said.
“To see not only the club, but members of the club benefiting from their investment at Silverwoods is very rewarding for us here at Lotus Living.”
Daniel said Silverwoods is the primary and number one Golf and Lifestyle Resort on the Murray.
“With our highly rated and challenging Black Bull Golf Course together with The Sebel Yarrawonga – everything is here on your doorstep. No wonder it’s the ultimate choice to live, play or stay.”
